Wastewater Treatment
For a long time classical mechanical and biological technologies were deemed sufficient to meet typical expectations on the treated wastewater effluent. This has changed and a permanent improvement of the treatment processes and technologies can be observed over the last years.
STULZ-PLANAQUA engineers have contributed considerably to this development and the technical implementation of innovative process technologies such as membrane biology, bio-filtration and stripping processes installed in several industrial plants.
Modern and Efficient Plants
STULZ-PLANAQUA engineers have built modern and efficient plants in many industry sectors. Technologies such as Anaerob-Biology, Ultra-filtration, Reverse Osmosis and Evaporation are been used in the food industry and in the metal-working industry.
Also landfill leachate treatment, treatment of Uranium-contaminated waters and treatment of polluted waters from biogas-plants belongs to the fields of activity of STULZ-PLANAQUA.
Technical Details of “Bio-Container”
The waste water to be purified is led to a collecting shaft and connected to the container plant via a pump station.
Through filter rakes the raw water is mechanically pre-treated. The collected grit is removed in a collecting unit.
Sedimentation with tube-bundle clarifiers
Using the STULZ-PLANAQUA tube-bundle clarifier achieves good sedimentation results sedimentation of substantially un-dissolved inorganic substances with minimal space-requirements.
The following biological treatment proceeds in a multi-stage cascade. A so-called immersed solid bed is located in each module of the cascade. This serves as a growth surface for the microorganisms.
The oxygen needed for microbial degradation of the pollutants is transferred via an aeration system installed directly below the solid-bed packaging.
